JOHN L. B. KEHL was born in Greenville, South Carolina, and attended Christ Church Episcopal School. After high school, John attended the University of South Carolina, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology in 1994, and a Juris Doctor in 1999. John spent his first year after law school serving as law clerk to the Honorable C. Victor Pyle, Jr. After his clerkship ended, John spent the next twelve years at the firm of Love, Thornton, Arnold & Thomason, where he practiced in the areas of real estate, collection/foreclosure, corporate transactions, and contract/commercial litigation. In June 2012, John joined forces with his friend and fellow CCES alumna, Erin Culbertson, to form the firm of Kehl Culbertson, where he focuses his practice primarily in real estate and corporate matters. In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with his children, whitewater kayaking, cycling, hunting, and most outdoor activities.
